Renqi Wang is a second-year master’s student in the Immunology program at HMS. Renqi obtained his BS in Biological Science from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) in 2022. During his undergraduate studies, his research involved the molecular basis of HIV-protective T cell receptors (TCRs), mechanisms for liver cancer metastasis, and high-throughput functional genomics of human gut bacteria. Renqi joined the Wu Lab at the end of 2022. In the Wu Lab, he is especially interested in developing pan-cancer-targeting gene circuits and regulatory T cell (Treg)-based immunotherapies. Outside the lab, Renqi enjoys hiking, running, and traveling.
