Bo Zhu obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Southern Illinois University. He has been working in the field of melanoma epigenetics and immunotherapy. In the Wu lab, Bo is working on synergistic gene therapy and melanoma immunotherapy, including (a) investigating the regulation of melanoma immune microenvironment and tumor cell immune response; (b) developing novel therapeutic strategies with gene circuit and CAR-T cell-based therapy to improve anti-tumor immunity for overcoming challenges in melanoma immunotherapy. Outside the lab, Bo enjoys swimming, running and playing badminton.
