Zhigui obtained her Ph.D from Sichuan University in China. She is now working in the Affiliated Hospital of Southwest Medical University. She joined Wu's lab in October 2023 as a visiting scholar for tumor immunotherapy. Zhigui is  excited about integrating synthetic biology approaches into developing therapeutic strategies to treat cancer. In the Wu lab, the focus researches are on developing novel therapeutic strategies based on gene circuits and CAR T cell therapy to improve anti-tumor immunity and overcome challenges in immunotherapy.
